You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp 1+ years on the tools preferred.
