Tiling assistant • San Luis Obispo County, California

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tiling assistant in San Luis Obispo County, California. You will be based at a busy tiling site. What we are looking for: • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • 2+ years' hands-on tiling experience • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites The role involves: • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
