You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Your main tasks: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Part-time with flexible hours.
