Stainless steel welder wanted in Putnam County

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Putnam County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Rotating shifts.
