Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in Urue Offong/Oruko, Akwa Ibom State. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Full-time with occasional weekends.
