Concrete worker wanted in Piatt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Piatt County, Illinois. You will work at an infrastructure site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Day-to-day duties: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
