Foundry operative wanted in Milam County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Milam County, Texas. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On a typical shift you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
