Now hiring: stainless steel welder (Rivers State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Omumma, Rivers State. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
