Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Arlington County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Rotating shifts.
