You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations The role involves assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine.
