Lifting rigger • Vilas County, Wisconsin

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Vilas County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Six days a week, one day off.
