Pipe TIG welder — Awka South

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Awka South, Anambra State. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding The role involves: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Six days a week, one day off.
