Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Chambers County, Alabama. You will work on an industrial construction site. The role involves prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
