Banksman wanted in Sumter County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Sumter County, Alabama. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles The role involves rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; read lift plans and method statements before starting; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
