Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Alameda County, California. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal 5+ years on the tools preferred.
