Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Preston County, West Virginia. You will be based on a commercial construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
