Shuttering and concrete hand — Norton County

Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Norton County, Kansas. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
