Great opportunity: we are hiring a tree and shrub pruner in Plumas County, California. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. You should have: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
