Immediate opening: concrete pump mate (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. The role involves strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
