Immediate opening: stainless steel welder (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Hancock County, Iowa. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Meals and transport allowance provided.
