Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Humboldt County, California. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard 3+ years on the tools preferred.
