Urgent requirement: sheet metal welder (Washington)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in San Juan County, Washington. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
