Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Monroe County, Alabama. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks 5+ years on the tools preferred.
