We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Carter County, Kentucky. The role involves weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Full-time, day shift.
