Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Ekwusigo, Anambra State. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Full-time, day shift.
