Heavy equipment operator wanted in Gallatin County

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Gallatin County, Illinois. You will work in an open-cast quarry. The role involves lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels. Ideal candidate: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
