Urgent requirement: we are hiring a marble mason in Rock Island County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess before it sets • Restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Measure up and template countertops and floor areas before cutting • Work from cutting lists and installation drawings Ideal candidate: • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Confident operating a bridge saw, angle grinder and diamond blades • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone Pay around $150 per day, based on your experience.
