Now hiring: we are hiring a gypsum plasterer in DeSoto County, Florida. The job is at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Ideal candidate: • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline Day-to-day duties: • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler Full-time, day shift.
