Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe operator in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Requirements: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Day-to-day duties: • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
