Vacancy available: uPVC door and window fabricator (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an uPVC door and window fabricator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. Your main tasks: • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile What we are looking for: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
