Furnace operator wanted in Lancashire

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Lancashire, England. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
