Immediate opening: we are hiring a HVAC-R technician in Madison County, New York. You will be based in an HVAC service company. Requirements: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts Day-to-day duties: • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter Part-time with flexible hours.
