Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Lincoln County, South Dakota. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
