Urgent requirement: we are hiring a finishing presser in Buchanan County, Iowa. You will work in a busy laundry. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings The role involves keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number.
