Requirements: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
