Garment machinist — Gwale

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in Gwale, Kano State. On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Full-time with occasional weekends.
