Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Jackson County, Kansas. The role involves building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Part-time with flexible hours.
