Now hiring: we are hiring a lift technician in Seneca County, New York. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. On the job you will handle: • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear What we are looking for: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
