Fire and safety officer — Caerphilly County Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Day to day you will take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
