Gas metal arc welder — Putnam County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Putnam County, Ohio. You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Your main tasks: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
