Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. You will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
