Pipe tig welder wanted in Monmouthshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Monmouthshire, Wales. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer £2,250 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends.
