Trainee butcher wanted in West Berkshire

Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in West Berkshire, England. You will work in a meat processing plant. On the job you will handle: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Season and marinate meat on request • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
