Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Bartholomew County, Indiana. You will work at a garment factory. Your main tasks: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
