Lathe operator — Petersburg Borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe operator in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. Requirements: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage The role involves measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
