Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Greensville County, Virginia. Day to day you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
