Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Gwynedd, Wales. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
