GTAW welder • Union County, New Jersey

Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Union County, New Jersey. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
