Immediate opening: foundry operative (North Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Cleveland County, North Carolina. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time with occasional weekends.
