Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Washington County, Wisconsin. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
